Strong well-developed communication skills are essential for this position. An Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Specialist Level II works under indirect supervision during all IONM procedures. Minimum Requirements: The Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Specialist Level II has Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM)* and has a minimum of 2 years (24 months) experience in intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring. A Bachelors degree from an accredited institution and/or one or more of the following registries is required: registry in electroencephalography (R. EEG T.)* and/or registry in evoked potentials (R. EP T.)* and/or registry in nerve conduction studies (R. NCS T.)**. Additional Information: Shift: Full-time position; 40 hours per week.Background screens and education must be approved prior to employment. Please be prepared to provide required information. An Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Specialist Level I works under direct personal supervision and training during all IONM procedures for which competence and credentials have not yet been achieved. Also works under indirect supervision. Minimum Requirements: This position requires High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 12 months of related experience. An Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Specialist Level I holds one or more of the following registries: electroencephalography (R. EEG T.) and/or registry in evoked potentials (R. EP T.) and/or registry in nerve conduction studies (R. NCS T.) and may hold a Bachelors degree or Associates degree in ENDT from an accredited institution. Department: EEG Schedule: PRN Job Details: Position Summary: Responsible for the preparation of the patient, the conduct of various standard, complex and special procedures, electroneurodiagnostic studies and the collection of information pertinent to the interpretation of tests. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University Hospitals philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.Required Education/Training: H.S. Graduate. Successful completion of an END Technologists Program of one or more years accredited by AMA Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation preferred. Board registration in EEG (REEGT) required. Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) strongly preferred in addition to above credentials. Required Experience: Two years experience at the Technician level or the equivalent. Current knowledge of basic EEG, evoked-potentials, nerve conduction and EEG and evoked-potential monitoring in inter-operative situations. Must be able to follow detailed instructions on all procedures. Able to establish good rapport with patients, public and the staff. Able to work with severely ill patients. Has sound independent judgement and initiative.
