As a member of the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service, you´ll enjoy a challenging and rewarding opportunity to provide the support needed to care for those who have served our veterans.You*ll be serving as a technician performing a variety of diagnostic histology preparations and analyzing abnormal results, using state-of-the-art equipment and performing routine maintenance on that equipment. You´ll establish and monitor quality control programs, resolve and troubleshoot technical equipment problems and maintain instrument availability.You will also clean and disinfect instruments, tables, and rooms, identify and prepare bodies for dissection and prepare bodies for transfer to funeral homes. You´ll maintain inventory for Histology, Cytology, and the Morgue, while adhering to established safety and infection control guidelines.One or more years of experience is preferred or a substitution of one full year of graduate work leading to a Masters Degree or, a combination of both.
