We are located in Beverly Hills close to the heart of Los Angeles.Summary of Essential Job Duties:The 5th floor Cardiovascular Technician will demonstrate proficiency in assisting the physician with Exercise Treadmill Testing, Stress Echocardiography, EKGs, late potential, holter monitor hook-up and scanning, King of Hearts event monitoring, hook up and downloading blood pressure monitoring devices. He/she will connect patient to event recorders and receive telemetry data. He/she will have thorough working knowledge of all equipment used in the above procedures, will set up room and prepare patient for the above procedures, and maintain all necessary equipment.Educational Requirements: Required:1) High school graduate or equivalent.2) Technical school graduate as Cardiovascular Technician or certification of completion from equivalent training program.3) Minimum one year Cardiovascular Technician experience in a medical center.4) Ability to demonstrate skills and knowledge commensurate with job title and job description.5) Full command of the English language, good oral communication, ability to read and follow instruction, ability to write legibly, ability to listen and follow directions.6) Cardiac arrhythmia knowledge.7) BCLS certified.8) Work flexible hours including weekends. Preferred:1) Minimum 2-3 years as a cardiovascular technician.2) Certified Cardiovascular Technician.Physical Demands:- Must be able to walk the distance from 5th floor Cardiology to the patients location while pushing equipment weighing up to 150 pounds.- Occasional lifting and/or carrying of equipment or supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.- Must be able to assist in lifting patient, transferring patient from wheelchair to gurney, able to bend, reach or twist during the performance of a procedure.
