Exciting opportunity for experienced Ultrasound Tech!

Job Description - External:Performs a variety of ultrasound examinations, including localization for minor surgical procedures (biopsies, aspirations, etc.) utilizing various types of equipment in order to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical and pathological data for the diagnosis of disease. Works closely with radiologist and referring physician.Qualifications required: high school diploma; graduate of an approved Ultrasound school, or two (2) years of on the job training at an accredited hospital; ARDMS registered in Abdominal Ultrasound Specialty; and current CPR certification.Experience - External:EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS- Prefer one year ultrasound experienceCERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED- CPR- RDMS SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED- Computer literate, good verbal and organizational skills

Graduate of an approved Ultrasonography Program Graduate of an approved Ultrasonography program and at least 1-yr of specialized Ultrasound training or equivalent; 1-2 yrs practical experience in a clinical Ultrasound setting or related field; including ABD, Vascular, OB & Cardiac experience desirable. RDMS and RDCS required. Knowledge of anatomy, pathology and US equipment/protocols. On call/holidays.

We are seeking a per diem Breast Sonographer to work with the department manager, administration, physicians, and staff to develop and implement policies and procedures regarding the Breast Imaging department in a manner consistent with the clinics mission and values. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: monitoring patients during study, ensuring thoroughness and safety of the examination, performing biopsies, and reviewing images. Requires a 2 year degree, RDMS, and 3-5 years of experience as a Sonographer with breast experience preferred.

PURPOSE OF POSITIONPerforms diagnostic and/or vascular medical sonograms, exercising professional judgment in performance of procedures and assist the radiologist in conducting diagnostic examinations, requested by physicians, by applying soundwaves to patients, taking and developing radiographic film in a manner consistent with prescribed quality of patient care.Graduate of an accredited School of Ultrasound Technology.
