The New Mexico Cancer Center, a physician owned freestanding oncology facility is currently seeking a full time Radiation Therapist to work in our Albuquerque Center.

Our therapists use state-of-the-art Varian 21EX /MLC accelerators with 3D, IMRT, IGRT and Portal Vision, Eclipse treatment planning, RapidArc, Varian Optical Guidance System/ Radiocam, ARIA 8.6 with On Board Imaging (OBI). Our therapists are involved with CT simulations and SBRT treatment procedures. We have electronic charting and imaging in ARIA! We require that you are a graduate of an approved school of Radiation Therapy Technology, registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and state certified. At least 5 years experience in field a must! We have a compassionate staff to ensure the most advanced care and support for our oncology patients. Assures strong collaboration with the overall cancer program and contributes to the mission of the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. Oversees continuity of cancer-related care and integrates activities with Radiation Oncology providers and other hospital departments. Performs duties in support of, and in compliance with licensing, accrediting and regulatory agencies. Oversees the physician billing and research finances. Supervises a wide range of staff from technologists, nurses, clerical support and other critical staff in the Radiation Oncology Department.Requirements: Minimum of 5 years experience as an Administrator of a major Cancer Center, Radiation Oncology Department, or Imaging Department. Masters Degree in Health Administration, Business, Public Health or other related field required. Education and Work Experience Preferences: Graduate of an approved School of Radiation Therapy and be ARRT registered is highly preferred. Experience as a Radiation Therapist for at least 3 years is highly preferred.

Coordinates, plans, and administers comprehensive age/disease appropriate radiotherapy to oncology patients of all ages utilizing MOSAIQ. This position also provides orientation, clinical instruction and supervision for Radiation Therapists and radiation therapy technology students. You will also provide leadership and guidance in implementing new programs in the clinic. Late/early and on-call requirements are necessary to ensure clinic coverage.Requirements also include graduation from an AMA approved school of radiation therapy, a minimum of three years experience as a Radiation Therapist and ARRT, CPR certification. Strong communication, organizational and analytical thinking skills are also required. A Bachelors degree in a related science is preferred.
