An immediate opening for a surgical PA in a Cardio/Thoracic private practice group. Must be Texas Board licensed and able to provide clinical and surgical first assist. S/he enhances competency through continuing education programs. S/he performs all job duties with sensitivity and attention to developmental milestones and health concerns. S/he coordinates care from pre-op through post-op, ensuring all needs are addressed and resolved. Develops educational materials, provides education to patients. These patients may require multiple technologies or advanced life support which can include: Hemodynamic monitoring , Continuous veno-venous hemofiltration (CVVH), Intra Aortic Balloon pump (IABP), Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD), Nitric Oxide (NO) and multiple drug therapies.Commitment to providing a patient centered care delivery system that continuously improves quality care. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program. Current CT PA/APRN license. Federal DEA, and CT Controlled Substance Registration.
