Description Licensed Clinical Social WorkerSAR Corp is seeking Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) to provide service, at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team to patients who are eligible beneficiaries of the Military Health Care System. Note: This is not a civil service or military enlistment position.Licensed Clinical Social Worker Details- Will require 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm - In addition to weekends off, the clinic is also closed on holidays - No on-call required - The liability (malpractice) insurance is covered by the company Requirements Education:Master´s or Doctorate Degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Accredited School. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must possess a Clinical Social Work license from a U.S. jurisdiction that allows for the independent practice of Clinical Services. Substitute or related degrees are unacceptable. Examples for acceptable licenses are LCSW in the state of Texas, LCSW in the state of Florida, LISW in the state of South Carolina and LCSW-C in the state of Maryland. Must maintain a professional license, certification and/or registration as required by the profession and appropriate regulatory bodies. This license must be current (not revoked, suspended, or lapsed in registration), valid and unrestricted (not subject to restriction pertaining to the scope, location, or type of practice ordinarily granted to other applicants for similar licenses in granting jurisdiction). The license must be one granted by the recognized licensing agency of a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the Virgin Islands.Experience:- A minimum of two (2) years in the practice of clinical social work and providing clinical services to individuals, couples or groups in clinical psychotherapy services. - Practice in a Government setting such as a DOD or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MTF is a plus but not required. - Related experience will not be accepted in lieu of degree or license requirements.Basic Life Support Training:Possess and maintain current course completion documentation for basic life support (BLS) through an American Heart Association and/or Red Cross approved training program or the ability to obtain within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.
