One opportunity will be for a Coordinator who is a clinical professional and utilizes the department´s scope of services to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the health care team. Individual will deliver Respiratory Care Services under the order of a physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, and other health care providers, or the board, and function in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment. Must be proficient in all aspects of respiratory care and provide ongoing oversight of other respiratory therapists in the delivery of respiratory care as well as assist the manager in departmental operations and function in a leadership role in the absence of the Manager.The other Coordinator will also be responsible for assessing, designing, developing, implementing, coordinating, supporting and leading activities that promote proper orientation, maintaining and improving clinical competence and/or facilitating professional growth of Team Members. The Education Specialist has the clinical, interpersonal, presentation and coaching skills needed to effectively teach and encourage other to aspire to excellence. Creates and encourages others to aspire to excellence, creates and encourages opportunities for others to assist in teaching and precepting fellow team member. Acts as liaison between Respiratory Care Department and other departments in matters related to education, in-service and seminar needs.Qualified candidate must have Florida license in Respiratory Therapy, RRT, an AA or Technical Degree in Respiratory Therapy and a minimum of 5 years Respiratory Care experience. Experience in an acute care setting, ACLS and proficiency in long term care is preferred.
