Inpatient Occupational Therapist

Plans and carries out programs of purposeful activity designed to assist in the rehabilitation of orthopedic, pediatric, neurological, surgical, and / or cardiac patients as prescribed by the physician. Must be a graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy holding a BS or MS. Work experience not mandatory other than clinical experience within educational training program. Must be registered to practice within the State of Indiana. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be certified in CPR with American Heart or American Red Cross Association (or certified within three months of employment) to maintain certificate on a yearly basis. Salary Range: 25.65 - 38.48

We are a 250-bed rural hospital with 20 beds devoted to the Emergency Dept. On average, ED providers see 2 patients per hour, and approximately 30,000 patients per year. Good Samaritan Hospital offers a broad range of specialty coverage and services, including cardiac catheterization, CV surgery, orthopedic & general surgery, neurology, nephrology and on-campus dialysis, urology, hematology, oncology, gastroenterology, and inpatient psychiatric treatment. Our ED providers are committed to efficiency and excellence in care, and have consistently achieved Press-Ganey scores in the upper 90th percentiles. This is a great opportunity for midlevels to join a group with strong provider coverage (45 hours physician coverage on weekdays, 48 hours on weekends). The position is for 12-hour daytime shifts, as we seek to expand our midlevel program to have daily coverage. We are seeking PAs from any specialty who have an interest in emergency medicine, and we have a strong history of providing training in emergency care to providers entering from other fields. Our midlevels enjoy practicing with autonomy, but have the readily available support of experienced emergency physicians. The Coordinator reports to the Director of Radiology and is responsible for the organization, administration, periodic review, development, and effectiveness of the clinical and didactic components of the Radiology Technology Program. Valid candidates must be a graduate of an accredited (JRCERT) education program in Medical Radiography and hold current ARRT registry and certification in Radiology; and hold current Radiology Technologist licensure issued by State of IN Department of Health. Must also possess a Masters Degree and be proficient in Curriculum Design, Program Administration, Counseling, Supervision, Instruction and Evaluation.Minimum of three years experience in the professional discipline; two years experience as an instructor in a JRCERT Accredited program.

Must be a certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist (certification by the Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathology, the National Credentialing Agency, the American Medical Technologists, or the Board of Registry of the American Association of Bioanalysts) or HHS approved. Associate degree required. Bachelor of Science preferred. Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Clinical Laboratory Science program preferred. Internship with Cardiac Rehab Program located in 800 bed downtown hospital. Premier location for cardiovascular services.

Works with both Inpatient and Outpatient Physical Therapy patients. Must be a graduate of an accredited school with a minimum degree of a BS in Physical Therapy. MS, MHS, or entry-level MS degree is optional. Must have current licensure by the Health Professions Bureau of Indiana. American Physical Therapy Association membership preferred.
