The incumbent works closely with the physician in the office clinical setting, assists with direct patient care, and serves as the clinical liaison between physician and patient and between physician and the office staff and offers the added skill of providing the radiology function. The incumbent is responsible for promoting communications among all care providers, patients, and office staff regarding the care plan for the patient as defined by the attending physician. The incumbent attends to patients utilizing the age appropriate principles of growth and development for patients of all ages according to the practice. JOB REQUIREMENTS: High School Graduate or equivalent and graduate from an accredited program for Medical Assistants. A minimum certification of a Limited Radiation Operator is required to perform x-rays. Prefer one year of experience as a Medical Assistant with X-ray or an associated position. Certification preferred from American Association of Medical Assistants.
