Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a full time Physician Assistant.
The Intensive Palliative Care Unit (IPCU) Physician Assistant (PA), is responsible for assisting the inpatient Palliative Care Program attending physicians and fellows in the medical management and palliative care of IPCU patients and in the palliative care consult service; and in addition, will provide cross-coverage care for Hematologic Oncology/ Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HO/HCST) patients and patients admitted for elective chemotherapy. The PA will care for IPCU patents collaboratively with personnel on 5A and 5B and any other unit on which IPCU patients are admitted. The IPCU will provide specialized, expert care for patients with advanced cancers with complex palliative care needs. The PA is a member of the interdisciplinary team, and as such, works with clinicians from social work, nursing, chaplaincy, care coordination, and psychiatry.- Graduate of AAPA/NCCPA accredited Physician Assistant Studies Program - Holds NCCPA Board certification - Licensure as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
