We strive to bring spiritually centered, holistic care that sustains and improves the health of our communities.The Director of Respiratory will manage and oversee all activities of the Respiratory Care, Pulmonary Function, Neurophysiology, EKG and Sleep Disorders departments. Direct reports into the position include a Clinical Manager and oversight for about 65 clinical staff. The primary objective in this role will be to ensure the efficient and effective daily work flow in the delivery of quality patient exams and care. Additionally, the Director will coordinate and implement programs, policies and procedures and assume the responsibility for ensuring that all programs meet hospital accreditation standards and regulatory compliance. This position will also manage the delivery of patient care and ensure care is provided according to established standards of care and practice. The roles and responsibilities of this leadership position support the mission, vision, values, and strategies of the Borgess Medical Center. Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Respiratory or related discipline. Masters Degree strongly preferred or willing to complete. Must possess current certifications, license and registration for the State of Michigan and current registry by the NBRC. A minimum of 5 years of current clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy with progressive management and leadership experience required. Demonstrated talent in problem solving; planning and setting priorities, and addressing complex issues for to achieve department expectations. Demonstrated leadership experience and knowledge in finance, business operations and quality outcomes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Must be able to address customer/staff issues utilizing basic concepts of relationships centered care.
