1. Assists in the preparation of scheduled, emergent and urgent surgical procedures involving anesthesia care providers by ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are available and ready for use. Responds to department emergencies. 2. Provides assistance for various invasive and noninvasive anesthesia procedures, i.e. arterial lines. 3. Restocks and maintains anesthesia supplies, to include anesthesia carts, in the department as well as applicable outer departments such as OB, L&D, Special Procedures, Endoscopy, Cath Lab, and Stereotaxis. 4. Follows infection control principles to protect self and others; adheres to sterility in OR rooms. 5. Runs various anesthesia supplies to any OR rooms as needed. 6. Under the guidance of the Anesthesia Tech, responsible for attainment of department orientation, network education, and Anesthesia Tech knowledge and competencies. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required. Medical background or healthcare / hospital experience is preferred.
