LOCATION: NEW YORK CITY: This practice is located about 40 minutes from Manhattan. Their patient population is very diverse and multi-ethnic. The candidate has many options and flexibility of where to live: Manhattan, any of the five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, Westchester County, New Jersey, and Connecticut. (See below regarding information about New York City.)AVAILABILITY: Immediate (preferred) but will also consider a candidate available during the summer of 2010 CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: The desired candidate needs to be a certified/licensed Physician Assistant. PRACTICE OPPORTUNITY: A Physician Assistant is needed for a 100% outpatient opportunity to work in the Pediatric Department of a medium size, successful and busy multi-specialty group. They have one busy Pediatrician. This practice was established in 2002. Their practice structure is based on a large Primary care division with approximately 35,000 to 45,000 patients. All specialties and disciplines are represented. Their patient population is very diverse and multi-ethnic.The new Physician Assistant needs to be willing to work three Sundays and one Saturday per month. However, she/he will receive $10,000 additional income for working one day per weekend. Also, she/he will get off one day during the week for working one day during the weekend.She/he will be required to work a 40-hour week (minimum), which will be discussed. There is no call! FINANCIAL: The starting salary will be competitive, negotiable and commensurate with the individual´s experience and will be reflected accordingly. As previously mentioned, she/he will receive $10,000 additional income for working one day per weekend. There is eligibility for medical benefits, sick time and vacation after probation (90 days). The candidate is eligible for salary increase annually based on performance evaluation. The Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Program at the University of Colorado Denver, based at The Children’s Hospital at the Anschutz Medical Campus, is recruiting a fourth full time PA-C.
