The Manager will supervise 3 other employees in the department and be an integral part of the Oncology Team within the 3 hospital system that comprises St. Francis Hospitals and Healthcare System. This position reports to the Director of Cancer Care Services. Board Certified Radiation Therapist with 5 years of clinical experience is required Bachelors degree in healthcare related field is required3 - 5 years experience in management of radiation therapy services is preferredExperience on Varian equipment and with the IMPAC software system is preferredThe Department is currently equipped with a Varian 2100c linear accelerator and a Ximatron Simulator, both supported by the IMPAC software management system. The qualified candidate must possess strong verbal, written and computer skills. This is a full-time position located at our Mooresville campus.

Our therapists use state-of-the-art Varian 21EX /MLC accelerators with 3D, IMRT, IGRT and Portal Vision, Eclipse treatment planning, RapidArc, Varian Optical Guidance System/ Radiocam, ARIA 8.6 with On Board Imaging (OBI). Our therapists are involved with CT simulations and SBRT treatment procedures. We have electronic charting and imaging in ARIA! We require that you are a graduate of an approved school of Radiation Therapy Technology, registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and state certified. ARRT CPR/BLS CRT 2-3 years Job Summary: The Radiation Therapy Specialist 2 practices with minimal supervision. Performs age-specific (infant, toddler, preschooler, school-age, adolescent, young adult, middle adult, later adult) therapeutic radiation procedures as ordered by a physician to assist in the treatment of cancer and other patients. Identifies and seeks resolution of treatment related problems using available resources; assists other members of the treatment team; promotes professional collegial relationships and fosters constructive approaches to treatment operations. Performs any combination of duties depending on area assignment. Performs other duties as needed. Job Specifications: Certification of completion of a course in radiation therapy in an AMA approved school. Two years minimum. Therapists must possess: National AART in Radiation Therapy; California State (CRT) in Radiation Therapy, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Accurate placement of custom blocking devices and subsequent alignment with marked patient anatomy, computer data input, manipulate hand pendant/motorized table control panels. Work requires ability to communicate effectively about complex matters with others who have varying levels of comprehension. The Radiation Oncology division of Arizona Oncology is the premier Radiation Practice in Southern Arizona. Services are provided through five community cancer centers in Southern Arizona. Currently we are seeking a Chief Radiation Therapist to coordinate radiation services in all five centers and manage a technical staff consisting of 4 Lead Radiation Therapists and 16 Staff Radiation Therapists. Centers are equipped with Varian Linear Accelerators with MLC, Novalis TX with OBI, Phillips CT Simulators, Treatment Planning Systems include CMS XIO, Eclipse, and I-Pan for SRS and IMPAC Record & Verify System. Treatments in all centers is approximately 140-172 per day. Treatment modalities include SRS and SBRT, IMRT, IGRT, HDR, LDR., Mammosite, Prostate Implants, and Brachytherapy,To qualify, you must be a graduate of an accredited program in radiation therapy and have at least 5 years of experience in the field and a minimum of 2 years of supervisory/management experience preferably with multiple sites.
