Its 5,330 employees and 1,586 physicians care for nearly 370,000 patients and their families each year from the Twin Cities area and throughout the Upper Midwest.Responsibilities:Assessing physicians in performing invasive, diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic cardiac electrophysiology procedures using a variety of high tech/advanced equipment, monitors, devices, and supplies. Must be able to stand for long periods of time wearing lead apron. Exposure to ionizing radiation, blood and body fluids.Qualifications:Graduate of an approved Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program or two years post secondary education in life or physical science. Associates or Bachelors degree in healthcare related field highly desirable. BLS certification. Strong desired that employees have or obtain one of the following certifications: RCIS, RCES, or IHBRE CEPS. ACLS also preferred Two years EP experience Ability to work independently and intra-dependently in a multidisciplinary team environment Good communication skills Ability to pursue self-education in cardiovascular theory and technique Knowledge of PC operation and basic typing skills Must possess mature thought, sound judgment, technical accuracy, and dedication Qualified candidates should have basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology, invasive cardiovascular practices/techniques/pressures, basic EKG and EP electrogram analysis, aseptic technique and emergency protocols/BLS.
