An extensive knowledge of diabetes and diabetic nutrition management required; knowledge of general endocrine disorders a preferred. The ability to educate families effectively on carbohydrate counting, diabetes management, weight loss and weight gains is required. Candidate must be able to work independently, have good communication skills to speak with patients and families as well as medical providers.
