SALARY: Pre-Lic: $4789 - $5846; Approximate Monthly Salary; Paid BiweeklyLevel I: $5452 - $6656; Approximate Monthly Salary; Paid BiweeklyLevel II: $6024 - $7354; Approximate Monthly Salary; Paid Biweekly5% additional pay for evening shift work; 7-1/2% additional pay for night shift work.APPLICANTS MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ANY SHIFT OF A 24-HOUR PERIOD AND ANY 5 OF 7 DAYS.QUALIFICATIONS: Pre Lic: Current enrollment in a California State approved Clinical laboratory Scientist Training Program, and eligible to obtain a Clinical Laboratory Scientist Trainee License issues from the State of California, Laboratory Field Services. Level I: Possession of a valid license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in the State of California OR Possession of a valid license issued by the State of California limited to specialization in Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Microbiology, or Clinical Immunohematology.Level II: One (1) year of experience as a licensed scientist, or specially licensed technologist, in a hospital or public health laboratory. Possession of a valid license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in the State of California OR Possession of a valid license issued by the State of California limited to specialization in Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Microbiology, or Clinical Immunohematology.Applicants must submit verification of enrollment in an California State approvedClinical Laboratory Scientist Training Program OR a copy of their valid license issued by the State of California to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist OR a copy of their valid license issued by the State of California limited to their specialization in Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Microbiology, or Clinical Immunohematology with their completed application.FOLLOWING AN OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT, YOU MAY BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT TO A DRUG SCREENING TEST AT COUNTY EXPENSE.ADMITTANCE TO EACH PHASE OF THE EXAMINATION WILL REQUIRE A GOVERNMENT ISSUED PHOTOGRAPH IDENTIFICATION. Assists in maintaining records of examinations and findings; inputs and maintains clinical laboratory data utilizing computer hardware and applicable software. Maintains effective professional work relationships with laboratory staff, other hospital departments and those contacted in the performance of required duties.Level I: In addition to the above Maintains records of examinations and findings; inputs and maintains clinical laboratory data utilizing computer hardware and applicable software.Level II: In addition to the above: Maintains work performance records; Assists in the teaching of Medical Technology students; Attends relevant conferences and educational functions. Maintains records of examinations and findings; inputs and maintains clinical laboratory data using computer hardware and applicable software. Assists in training and orientation of new employees.All Levels:Other Functions: Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
