Level I: Possession of a valid license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in the State of California OR Possession of a valid license issued by the State of California limited to specialization in Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Microbiology, or Clinical Immunohematology.Level II: One (1) year of experience as a licensed scientist, or specially licensed technologist, in a hospital or public health laboratory. Our full-service medical laboratory serves inpatients, outpatients and off-site laboratory referrals of all ages (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric)adding-up to 1.5 million tests annually (with 30% Outreach). State-of-the-art testing in performed in such disciplines as pathology, blood bank, hematology/coagulation, serology, chemistry and microbiology. The lab is accredited by the College of American Pathologists.Under minimal supervision, performs routine Laboratory procedures accurately and efficiently according to the policies and procedures of Laboratory Services to ensure high quality patient care. Performs Lab procedures in any or all disciplines of the department, including the following sections; Microbiology, Serology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Hematology, Blood Bank, Blood Gases, Stat Lab, and phlebotomy, as needed.
