Cedars-Sinai Health System has an opportunity for a Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist II.
In the 2009 U.S. News & World Report rankings, Cedars-Sinai was named one of Americas best hospitals. Of the 4861 U.S. hospitals, only 174 were ranked in at least one specialty. We are located in Beverly Hills close to the heart of Los Angeles. The Neurophysiology Laboratory, part of Cedars-Sinais Neurology Department, is expanding in areas of Epilepsy/Neuro critical Care EEG monitoring as well as intraoperative monitoring. Our epilepsy monitoring program is a level-four rated program staffed with two epileptologists and an epilepsy surgeon. We have a six bed Epilepsy monitoring unit ( EMU) and will be expanding in the near future. We are also expanding in the area of neuro critical care and run three to four beds of continuous monitoring with state-of-the-art equipment with remote review capabilties. The neuro cricial care areas are staffed with two neuro-intensivists that work very closely with our technical staff. The Lab also provides monitoring of brain function during surgery. We staff an 8 room operating room area designated for neurosurgical patients ( spine and brain). We provide multi-modality monitoring to include functional mapping and cranial and spinal nerve identification and protection utilizing the latest techniques utilizing high-end equipment. Our team consists of well seasoned technologists with special training in intra-operative monitoring, epilepsy monitoring, and neurocritical care. We have four board certified neurophysilogists and usually two fellows and a program consistent with the mission/goals of a teaching hospital.Under general supervision of the Neurophysiology supervisor and the Medical Director, you will perform Neurodiagnostic testing procedures mentioned above, including EEGs, ambulatory monitoring and evoked potential studies in the laboratory and at the bedside of critically ill patients in ICUs.
