Position Summary: The individual in this position will provide direct clinical supervisory services to the Behavioral Health Aides in Village Services. The individual will live in the sub-regional clinic village and travel by small air craft to assigned villages. The individual in this position will supervise, train staff, and coordinate client care in their designated sub regional area. The individual in this position will also facilitate the provision of a safe, healthy, structured environment; engage clients and families a therapeutic alliance, and function as an active member of the multi-disciplinary Behavioral Health treatment team. Close collaboration with all the child-serving agencies in the region is required. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential job element satisfactorily. Minimum Experience: Experience with drug & alcohol issues & certification preferred. If in recovery, prefer 3 years sobriety. Two years of supervised experience providing various Behavioral Health direct clinical care services to children, adults and families. Clinical supervisory experience preferred. Experience in a cross-cultural setting preferred. License, Certification, Registration: LPC, LMFT or LCSW preferred. Upon hire: Alaska Drivers License will be required, and a copy of current driving record. Must obtain State of Alaska Professional Clinical License within 6 months of employment at YKHC-BH. Equipment/Tools: Computer literacy required. Specialized Knowledge and Skills: We require a positive work history. Knowledge of and ability to diagnose, screen, assess and implement treatment-planning as required by Medicaid and JACHO. Excellent human relations skills. Ability to direct and coordinate staff and staff training & development. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
