Responsibilities include support of the Neurosurgery Division of the Department of Surgery. Duties include first assisting at surgery, inpatient care, history and physicals. Candidates must possess or be eligible for NYS Licensure as a Physician Assistant. Previous Neurosurgical experience preferred but not required. We are willing to train and enthusiastic person. The BASSETT HEALTHCARE NETWORK, a multi-specialty, rural academic medical center based in Central NY, is seeking a full-time physician assistant to provide patient care for our Division of Orthopaedics at our Cooperstown location. There are 12 surgeons and 12 physician assistants in the Division of Orthopaedics providing a team approach to inpatient and outpatient care. Qualified candidate will have responsibilities as first assistant in the OR, clinic and the inpatient unit. There are no residents working in the Division of Orthopaedics.Candidates must possess national certification as a Physician Assistant. BASSETT HEALTHCARE, a multi-specialty, rural academic medical center based in central NY, is seeking a full-time physician assistant to provide patient care to our expanding hospital Emergency Department and Urgent Care Network.

Primary responsibilities would include providing care at two emergency departments and two urgent care clinics. Candidates must possess national certification as a Physician Assistant. Previous experience in Emergency Medicine and/or Fast Track/Urgent Care is preferred. Basic EM skills (suturing/splinting, etc.) valued. Individual must be motivated to seek challenges, work well with others in a fast-paced teaching environment, and be comfortable working with varying degrees of oversight.
