Baylor College of Medicine at Texas Children´s Hospital is recruiting Physician Assistant´s to join a multidisciplinary team to care for children in the Pediatric Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
Obtains comprehensive histories and perform physical examinations and specific pediatric assessments. Provides resuscitation and stabilization to patients as indicated. Orders, obtains and interprets laboratory and diagnostic data. Formulates an individualized medical plan of care in collaboration with the medical team. Writes orders and document accurately in the medical record. Prescribes and administers pharmaceutical treatments to patients. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Provides on-going assessment and implement change to the plan of care as needed. Initiates and coordinates referrals as indicated. Acts as a resource for nursing staff, Nurse Practitioner´s and Physician Assistant´s.
