We provide education, rehabilitative, treatment and innovative support activities to achieve this mission. For fifty years, we have been providing quality services to more than 2,900 individuals each day in 18 communities north of Boston. We are seeking a Massachusetts Certified Physical Therapist for our MR Day Services sites located in Lynn, Medford and Melrose. The Physical Therapy Consultant will work as part of a clinical team with occupational therapy, speech pathologist, behavior specialist and nursing. - No weekends, no evenings, flexible part time hours. Mothers hours available. - Provide assessement, consultation and support in positioning and seating in an established wheelchair clinic. Essential duties and responsibilities include: 1.Evaluates and completes Physical Therapy assessments on individuals as needed. 2.Develops and plans PT therapy based on assessment. 3.Trains staff to carryover PT treatment plans. 4.Reviews and signs off on DayHab Service Needs Assessments. 5.Participates in clinical team meetings. 6.Reviews referrals for placement to appropriate services within the component. 7.Makes recommendations to clinical team and or residence regarding PT needs. 8.Signs off on quarterly Clinical Team Review Form. 9.Other duties as assigned. Must have current license as Registered Physical Therapist through the state of Massachusetts and excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills.
