Carilion Rehabilitation is seeking a flex time physical therapist to join our dynamic team at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. This is an acute care setting. We take a team focused approach and bring a strong commitment to skills development in our staff. As a large system, Carilion provides extensive educational opportunities including an annual therapy conference. Basic Functions: Must possess skills to interpret physician referrals, perform patient assessments, plan and implement specific treatment programs according to the principles and practices of Physical Therapy. Will supervise and collaborate with Physical Therapy Assistants and support staff to achieve efficient clinical activity and quality patient care, both in-patient and outpatient. Must have the ability to communicate with physicians, patients/families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient care. Education: Bachelor�s Degree or certificate in Physical Therapy from an accredited Physical Therapy program. Experience: Experience preferred, but not required. Licensure/Certifications: Must have current licensure in the State of Virginia or eligible to obtain. Must have CPR certification.Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication, customer service and teamwork skills required. Job requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for prolonged periods of time.
