Carilion Home Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team. We take a team-focused approach and bring a strong commitment to skills development in our staff. Basic Functions: Confirms and interprets physician referrals, performs patient assessments, plans and implements individualized treatment programs taking into account the patients developmental and/or chronological age and medical diagnoses in accordance with the regulations governing the principles and practice of Speech-Language Pathology.Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Experience: One year of clinical experience required. Home Health or Hospice experience preferred.Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association; Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication, customer service and teamwork skills required. CPR (from a Carilion approved program) certified within six months of employment. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as interaction with internal and external customers is part of job duties.
