POSITION REQUIREMENTS CATHOLIC HEALTHCARE WEST - ARIZONAESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Prepares work schedules, assigns personnel, evaluates work performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions.2. Ensures that new technologies are used to their full capacity.3. Ensures staffing is appropriate across both campuses, with cross-coverage and training.4. Supervisor has authority over all Imaging staff and aspects.5. Establishes policies, procedures and protocols for service lines that are in alignment with CHW, CRMC and MGMC guidelines.6. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.7. Responsible for throughput of patients through the department minimizing waiting times.8. Directs maintenance of departmental facilities, equipment, supplies and materials in a condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort and safety of patients and staff.9. Ensures and sets the standard of quality of work in conjunction with the radiologists. Acts as an educational resource and is available for consultation to medical, nursing and administrative staff.10. Establishes and maintains communication within the department and with other hospital departments. 11. Oversees protocols for procedures and assures that they are followed by staff.12. Participates in quality assurance program. Establishes and monitors areas for possible improvement.13. Assists in the development and monitoring of capital and operational budgets maintaining operating budget within budgetary levels.14. Enhances professional growth and development through participates in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.15. Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed.16. Functions in a technical role, performing patient care when needed, and maintains proficiency/completes competencies. 17. Maintains the radiology module portion of the hospital information and PACS system so it functions appropriately and is updated as necessary. Assures that staff is fully trained in it use.18. Assures that a mechanism is in place to monitor and measure the competency of staff on an annual basis and during orientation of new staff.19. Prepares daily reports.20. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS1. Graduate of a school of radiological technology2. Minimum of three (3) years as a Radiological Technologist or Ultrasound Technologist3. Previous supervisory experience preferred4. Good leadership and communication skills necessary5. Previous experience with personal computers preferred.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION1. Current RDMS2. Current BLS card
