Enrollment in a college level nursing program (BSN or ADN) or a degree/certification in a healthcare related field. IV/Phlebotomy certification may be required in designated areas. COMIRB certification after hire. -One year of research experience which include collecting specimens. -Phlebotomy skills desired. Basic computer skills desired. -Skilled in use of general office equipment. Exposure to medical terminology preferred. -Ability to prioritize. Filing abilities. Good organizational skills, including management of interruptions. Good written and verbal communication skills including telephone etiquette. Team player. -Excellent customer service and communication skills with hospital/clinic staff, children, parents and visitors. Screen for potential research participants on the labor and delivery unit. Collect cord blood samples. Process and store samples according to the research protocol. Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies. Order supplies as necessary. Maintain and perform standard tests on the YSI machine. Complete census sheet. Enter census data into CTRC data base.
