A career at The Children´s Hospital will challenge your skills, stimulate your emotions and make you proud of your accomplishments.Qualifications: This position is for individuals with some moderate (3-5 years) pediatric experience who will be initially will be oriented extensively to pediatric respiratory care management and will be evaluated for advancing up the ladder based on skills, knowledge set, and areas of practice.Under this job description the individual will:Performs patient care assessments Troubleshoots equipment and patient related problems Makes appropriate recommendations Gives complete and accurate patient care report Ventilator troubleshooting Able to understand and implement all ventilator strategies in some of the care areas. Apply appropriate strategies to different disease states Performs appropriate therapies per department policies Modifies therapies per patients condition and disease state Recommend changes in therapy as needed Able to prioritize procedures appropriately Uses appropriate organization to allow the smoothest and most efficient operation Maintains appropriate productivity with a preceptor Maintains appropriate attendance Maintains patient care records Maintains appropriate educational records and job requirements Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred must be at least registry eligible Physical Requirements: Ability to Perform Essential Functions of the JobEqual Employment Opportunity: It is our intention that all qualified applicants be given equal opportunity and that selection decisions be based on job-related factors.
