Experienced Speech-Language Pathologist

Responsible for evaluating speech/language of children and providing remediation for children with communication disorders. Master´s degree in Speech-Language pathology 2 to 3 years of related experience. Must have licensure´s.

Participates in planning, implementation, management and evaluation of service/department activities for Children´s National Medical Center in accordance with accepted national standards and administrative policies.Bachelor´s degree required; Licensed Respiratory Therapist in DC with 5 years of related and progressive experience; health care management experience preferred; minimum 1 year supervisory experience required.

Music Therapist

Develops, implements, and evaluates a music therapy program for patients receiving care from the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Fosters positive and professional interpersonal relationships with patients/families, physicians, hospital staff, community representatives and visitors. Effectively uses interpersonal communication skills to promote a healing environment.Master´s degree in music therapy from an accredited program with one year post Masters experience as a music therapist; however, a bachelor´s degree in music therapy from an accredited program combined with two years of experience as a music therapist may be substituted. Experience with children, adolescents, and young adults, and experience working with patients with life-threatening or complex illnesses preferred.

Demonstrates board knowledge of various disabilities/diseases and physical therapy modalities such as therapeutic exercises, hydrotherapy, thermotherapy, electrotherapy and massage. Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy. Minimum of one year related experience. Licensed in the District of Colombia.
