The Physical Therapist (PT II) is responsible for the rehabilitation of patients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, diseases or other causes through the purposeful and skilled interaction of the Physical Therapist with the patient integrating the elements of patient management - examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and intervention - in a manner designed to maximize outcomes taking into consideration the patient s goals. Physical Therapists interact and practice in collaboration with a variety of both healthcare and non-healthcare professionals including physicians, hospital personnel, government agencies and third-party payers utilizing both professional and supervisory discretion with independent judgment, while practicing within federal, state, facility and regulatory guidelines.
