POSITION REQUIREMENTS Under the direction of the Social Work Supervisor, provide social work services and counseling for patients and their families. Provide quality patient care, thorough assessment and treatment. The Clinical Social Worker has a wide range of freedom in applying individual professional judgment, discretion, and skill in patient management. The Clinical Social Worker has responsibilities for assigned patients including evaluation, treatment planning, patient treatment, and documentation of care. Clinical Social Workers are assigned patients ranging in age from neonatal to geriatrics. Assignments are dependent on the specific experience, training and demonstrated competence of the Social Worker and the needs of the patients. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Required • Master´s Degree in Clinical Social Work from an accredited school of social work Special Training: (including license): Required • Current and active California licensure as a Clinical Social Worker, preferred or license eligible • Effective written and oral communication • Basic computer skills • Resourcefulness, diplomacy and analytical skills • Self-directed, assertive, and creative in problem solving, systems planning and patient care management in a high volume work environment Preferred • Experience working in a healthcare setting
