Under general direction of the Administrative Director, provides effective overall Management of Laboratory sections to include but not limited to employee relations, capital and technical management, quality management, and compliance with regulatory bodies for all sections. Takes charge of Laboratory Operations in the absence of the Administrative Director. Sets annual departmental goals that are aligned with Laboratory Business Plan and achieves through strong project management skills. Assists with development and management of departmental operating budgets. Interacts and supports Pathologists on an as needed basis. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), plus a minimum of five (5) years laboratory experience. Masters degree strongly preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in English, in both verbal and written form, and proven project management experience with demonstrated record of success. Strong interpersonal and employee relations skills.Position requires a valid drivers license to travel between ECHN business sites.
