JOB SUMMARY: Plans, directs, manages and evaluates overall administrative operations of the Behavioral Health Clinic to ensure highest quality developmentally appropriate patient care to children, adolescents and adults; performs case management of assigned behavioral health patients to ensure coordination of services in accordance with established treatment plan MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work or closely related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute 2. Must have 2 years previous progressive administrative management 3. Current State of Arizona Independent Behavioral Health Professional License ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Directs, manages and supervises daily administrative operations of the Behavioral Health Clinic to ensure highest quality appropriate patient care consistent with established professional, regulatory and governmental standards 2. Develops clinical and financial outcome measures, related tracking and monitoring systems and a mechanism to integrate efforts into organization-wide Quality Improvement systems 3. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal, state, tribal, licensing and regulatory requirements and practices 4. Works closely and collaboratively with a variety of community, local, state and other agencies to ensure continuity of care and services provided to patients 5. Resolves complex therapeutic/counseling issues and/or investigates patient/family complaints to ensure consistency/appropriateness of therapy to meet patient needs 6. Performs Behavioral Health assessment of patient, develops treatment/service plan to meet determined care needs; revises care plan as appropriate 7. Serves as primary contact/clinical liaison to patients and patients families to ensure delivery of effective and appropriate treatment in accordance with established plan of care 8. Develops, implements and maintains standards, systems and processes to ensure excellence of assigned areas which supports the mission, goals and objectives of the hospital 9. Develops, manages and supervises purchasing and management of equipment and therapeutic supplies for safe appropriate delivery of care 10. Works collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders to recommend, develop and implement methods/procedures for coordination of services with related patient care activities. 11. Develops, maintains and fosters integration of behavioral health assessment as part of overall health plan 12. Works closely and collaboratively with local resources to ensure integration of traditional counseling methods to meet needs of community 13. Develops and maintains effective working partnerships with providers by facilitating appropriate involvement in departmental planning and operations to ensure a collaborative work environment 14. Prepares monthly progress/operational report; identifies areas of improvement, concern and recommended 15. Plans, develops and manages department strategies and operational budgets to ensure provision of services consistent with desired objectives delivered responsibly 16. Acts as primary spokesperson and inter-agency representative for the program and related services to increase awareness and understanding 17. Develops and supervises staff through provision of timely feedback and use of appropriate Human Resource policies and tools to ensure maintenance of desired performance and quality standards 18. Participates in departmental orientation, on the job training and quality assurance programs/initiatives 19.
