Masters Degree requiredPhysician Assistant (PA) certification requiredThe Physician Assistant (PA) performs the functions of examining, assessing, planning, and implementing the health care of assigned patients in collaboration and under the general supervision of a licensed physician. The NP secures patient histories, performs physical examinations, orders laboratory tests, develops and implements treatment plans, performs diagnostic and treatment procedures, records findings, and provides patient education and counseling to enhance our effectiveness in providing primary care, preventive services, and improved outreach. Formal Education/Learning Experience Required: Physician Assistants must be graduates of approved programs, be certified and/or licensed in the appropriate States and be able to prescribe according to regulations of the States. Licenses/Certifications Required: PAs must have the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants) certified or eligible; and licensed or eligible for licensure by the Medical Examining Board(s) of the state(s) in which the PA functions.
