Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, KY is recruiting for a Speech Language Pathologist.
Activities will include working at the Highlands Center for Autism, a new, year-round, private, Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA), day-school for children diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. Other activities may include hospital consultation and working with the hospitals home health organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing the organizational and the departmental mission, vision, and goals. Provides all aspects of direct patient care; administers evaluations; designs and carries out treatment plans; participates as a member of the patients treatment team to facilitate service delivery participates in the clinical education program, and provides caregiver education. Minimum qualifications include: Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology and completion of a clinical rotation in pediatrics and/or physical medicine and rehabilitation. Additional pediatric experience preferred. Current KY Speech Language Pathology License. Certificate of clinical competence (CCC)issued by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) required. Ability to work independently, self motivation, enthusiasm and patience with the students/customers are required.
