Intermountain is recognized as a leading healthcare system and a model for what is right in American medicine.This position is accountable for performing quality ultrasound examinations through the application of advanced clinical and technical knowledge while maintaining strict attention to patient care and in accordance with organization and department policy and procedures. This position is accountable for providing direct patient care and maintaining expertise for all ages spanning from neonatal/newborn to young adults. The patient acuity ranges from stable outpatients to critically ill patients on full life support. This position is responsible for rotating shifts between Primary Children´s Medical Center and Primary Children´s Riverton Outpatient Services.Minimum Qualifications-Satisfactory completion of a formal ultrasound training program in an AMA approved school.-American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certified or registry eligible and certified within six months of hire in the specialty of Abdominal imaging is required.-Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in this work area.-Must utilize problem solving, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.-Must have the ability to work independently and without supervision.-Must have a positive attitude along with an engaging service oriented disposition.Preferred Qualifications-One year post ARDMS certification preferred. Pediatric imaging experience preferred.-Experience performing all ultrasound examinations including, but not exclusive of, Abdominal, Pelvic, Neurosonology, Small Parts, Visceral Doppler, and Peripheral Vascular studies preferred.
