Currently, we have an opening for a Histopath Technician II. The Histopath Technician is responsible for the following duties:- Preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination by a pathologist- Maintaining and programming tissue processors- Performing special stains techniques and preparing various staining solutions- Decalcifying bone specimens and staining using a modified H&E stain technique- Operating automated slide and cassette printersQualifications: - Associates degree with one year experience (clinical internship counts as one year of clinical experience) - HTASCP (preferred) or successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnician program with two years of clinical experience and eligible for HT ASCP registry- Recommend registry within one year of employment at this level- 1-5 years experience as a histology technician in a clinical setting, dependent upon educationIt´s because we value the people who work here that we offer an unparalleled benefits package that includes, medical, vision and dental coverage, generous tuition reimbursement program, multifaceted retirement options and even college grant tuition for your dependents.
