The Medical Assistant position exists to assist in the delivery of care in the ambulatory setting under the direct supervision of a licensed Nurse or Physician.Essential Functions:- Demonstrate and apply required skills sets and clinical knowledge in the ambulatory care setting- Collect, report, and document objective and subjective data in an accurate and timely manner- Room and discharge patients according to department standards- Respond to emergent/crisis situations upon delegation by the RN or Physician- Must demonstrate compassion and empathy with patients- Distributes health information to members as directed- Work flexible hours, various locations, and other duties as assigned- Must maintain a safe, therapeutic, and aesthetic environmentQualifications:Basic Qualifications:- high school diploma or GED equivalent required- Must have current Certification as an MA through NAHP or AAMA upon hire- Current BCLS from the American Heart Association required- Ability to follow explicit directions.Preferred Qualifications: - 1 year of acute or outpatient care experience preferred but not required
