Qualifications: Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant Program. Current California Physician Assistant License*National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) (*Must be obtained from NCCPA for initial licensure, need not be maintained).Current CA license, Orthopaedic Surgical Residency. DEA Registration Number, if applicable. BCLS(ACLS, PALS if applicable). National Provider Identification Number (NPI) and be an approvedMedicare provider. Minimum one (1) year experience unless specified by department.Consistently demonstrating the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior andculturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to purchasers, contracted providersand vendors. Those external applicants who arehired who do not have UPIN but are UPIN eligible must obtain within six (6) months from hire.Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years in orthopaedic setting including fracture management, sportsmed, joint replacement, spine and peds. Knowledge of orthopaedic conditions and treatment plans.Surgical assisting, pre-operative assessment, fracture management, inpatient and outpatientorthopaedic treatment modalities.Notes: Shedule varies, On-call duties with orthopaedic physician evenings, weekends and holidays.May work overtime as needed. Inpatient and outpatient duties.This is a Indefinite temporary position.
