Our 851-bed level II trauma center between Orlando and Tampa is searching for several surgical physician assistants to join our dynamic facility.The persons we are seeking will work collaboratively with LRMCs staff surgeons as our programs grow. Opportunities exist within our orthopedic, neurosurgery and ortho/trauma departments. We are seeking vibrant, team players with energy and appetites for new ideas and their successful implementation. Incoming physician assistants will be involved with direct patient care through rounding and patient monitoring, and would collaborate with our medical community to ensure the best healthcare outcomes for our patients. Closings, H&Ps, discharges, positioning and a wide procedural focus all fall under the mechanics of these positions. Physician assistants in our program develop close working relationships with our attending medical staff of more than 500 physicians in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment.As one of Florida´s largest medical centers, Lakeland Regional Medical Center will experience approximately 220,000 patient encounters this year, of which about 65,000 will be in-patient stays.
