Lancaster General Health is seeking a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist for Home Care opportunities.
SUMMARY: Performs evaluation and treatment techniques within the principles of the Codes of Ethics of the American Speech Language Hearing Association, and under physician referral for inpatients. Patient care includes care to patients in the following age groups: pediatric (30 days through 12 years), adolescent (13 through 18 years), adult (19 through 64 years), and geriatric (65 years and above).REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology from the American Speech-Hearing Association and licensure form the Commonwealth of PA. CPR Certification. Consideration will be given to an individual who has completed the necessary coursework, holds a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and is eligible to complete the requirements of a Clinical Fellowship as set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. While completing the Clinical Fellowship, the individual will work under the direct supervision of a certified/licensed Speech-Language Pathologist(s). Upon successful completion of all Clinical Fellowship requirements, the individual will be eligible for the Certificate of Clinical Competence as issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and licensure from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.PREFERRED JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience in both adult populations and dysphagia experience.
