The PTA, provides age-specific and developmentally appropriate care and interventions under the supervision of a licensed PT within scope of practice and in accordance with policies, protocols, guidelines, and application of treatment techniques; performs services planned and delegated by the PT; assists in preparing clinical notes and progress reports; meets qualifications, licensure/certifications, and competencies as defined in the department-specific Plan for Providing Care; applies theoretical concepts to clinical practice and continually expands knowledge base and clinical skills; utilizes knowledge in the delivery of quality whole person care; utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize customer service in a manner that supports excellence in customer service, safe patient care, and professionalism; contributes to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population; performs other duties as needed. Job Specifications: Associate of Arts or Science Degree, Physical Therapist Assistant required. One year of in-patient, out-patient, or home health experience preferred. New graduates may be considered based on affiliation-appropriate experience. Physical Therapist Assistant license required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. California driver´s license required. Able to lift up to 50lbs to the waist.
