Newly constructed free standing ER looking for certified Physician Assistants on a full time basis. There are 2 locations available: one near Galleria, the other near FM1960 and I-45. Current hours of operation are 10a-10p, both currently have very low patient volume. Comprehensive lab work, x-ray, CT scan, and ultrasound with wet read capability available in house. PA must be comfortable with EKG’s, laceration repairs, diagnosis evaluation and splinting of orthopedic fractures, and interpretation of comprehensive lab work including cardiac enzymes, D-dimer, CBC, CMP, and UA.A one year emergency room work experience in preferred. Must have good rapport with nursing staff, and have a pleasant bed-side manner with a willingness to teach and educate patients about their medical condition. Must have enthusiasm for learning, along with appreciation and tolerance for constructive criticism. Salary compensation is $95k/year PLUS $1,200 monthly housing stipend and $3000 annual CME stipend (NOTE: this totals over $17k tax free stipends in addition to salary). Malpractice insurance is included. Schedule is as follows:week1: ON -> Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun; OFF -> Wed, Thr.week2: OFF -> Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun; ON -> Wed, Thr.
