JOB DETAILS:They work closely with the spinal surgeons to provide comprehensive patient care and surgical assistance. Duties include H&P examination, patient assessment, hospital rounds, performing injections and assisting in surgery. On the job training is provided to enhance the practitioners knowledge and skills.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge, Practical Experience and Licensure/Registration Required:Level of knowledge normally acquired through the completion of a Program from an accredited Physician Assistant SchoolCurrent professional registration in the State of CaliforniaCurrent CPR certificationProfessional competence documented by references based on PA experience, education or bothSpecial Skills and Abilities Required:The analytical ability necessary to assess a patients condition and utilize the professional judgment in providing comprehensive care to patientsThe interpersonal skills necessary to constantly interact with patients, families, medical personnel and other members of health care teamThe physical ability for almost constant standing and walkingThe ability to perform effectively and efficiently under the pressure of stressful or emergency situations.
