Flexible Part-Time Schedule!!
The MT has an understanding of the underlying scientific principles of lab testing, as well as the technical, procedural, and the problem-solving aspects. The MT is expected to understand the factors affecting health and disease, recognize the importance of proper test selection, determining the validity of test results and the causes of discrepant test results. The MT is responsible for performing in-vitro analysis of biologic specimens according to established procedures in all areas of the lab. -Bachelors Degree in MT or equivalent (Science degree supplemented with demonstrated lab skills)-Certification or eligibility for certification by a nationally recognized agency.-Current knowledge of lab procedures and equipment expected. MT student internship highly desired. Previous lab experience is desired. Experience with Lab Information Systems is beneficial.-Exclusion from Federal Programs: Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid. This is a condition of employment. Employee must immediately notify his/her manager or the Clinics Compliance Officer if he/she is threatened with exclusion or becomes excluded from any federally funded program.
