POSITION REQUIREMENTS JOB SUMMARYProvides patient care including evaluating patient for treatment, developing plan of care, establishing goals, and assessing progress toward the attainment of goals. Consults with other healthcare providers to coordinate therapeutic programs and discharge planning for individual patient. Instructs patients and care givers in home programs for exercises and functional activities.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS1. Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology2. Minimum of three years of related experience in acute care setting3. Ideal candidates must be proficient in evaluating and treating adults with medically based physiological/neurological communication impairments, dysphagia (including experience with independently performing MBS and FEES), trach/vent and Passy-Muir evaluations4. Candidate must have continuing education and demonstrated expertise within the area of dydphagia5. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are required.LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION1. Arizona Speech-Language Pathology License2.
