Orlando Regional Medical Center is now hiring for the following position:Physician Assistant, General and Acute Care SurgeryPerform under the supervision of a medical staff member as a physician-extender on the acute care surgery team. Obtain detailed histories and perform physical examinations on patients. Assist in providing care for patients scheduled for surgery; write appropriate orders, including those for perioperative orders, narcotics, stimulants and depressant drugs. Write and/or dictate progress notes on patient charts indicating patient status and treatment -- or procedures performed. Participate in life saving procedures and active trauma resuscitations. Round daily on all patients admitted to the acute care surgery team with the attending physician, surgical residents, medical and PA students. Attend patient office during normal business hours. Assist in the OR when needed and attend academic conferences as scheduled. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Physician Assistant program and have a current license in the state of Florida. Must maintain a current CPR certification.
