Phoenix Children´s Hospital is the only specialty children´s hospital in Arizona and it is poised to become one of the foremost pediatric hospitals in the nation. The hospital is home to the state´s largest group of pediatric specialists and sub-specialists. Primary Purpose:Plans, develops, implements and evaluates administrative management and strategy of assigned areas including department(s), and/or program(s) throughout the continuum of care by establishing and maintaining standards, systems and processes are effective to ensure excellence of assigned areas within a family-centered care model which supports the mission goals and objectives of Phoenix Children´s Hospital.Work Environment:Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting located in the patient care area subject to long periods of sitting, standing and walking; frequent physical demands may include stooping, bending, reaching, lifting and pushing objects of varying weights up to 20 pounds. Regular activities require the ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or subject to resolution of conflicts.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:1. Bachelors degree in one of the biological, chemical or physical sciences from an accredited institution with a clinical laboratory education program.2. Certification by a nationally accepted accrediting agency such as ASCP, NCA or equivalent.3. Must have 5 years previous professional experience in a clinical medical laboratory (private or hospital based) with 3 - 5 years management; pediatric population preferred.
