Primary Purpose:Provides preventative, supportive and corrective interventions related to the cardiopulmonary system in assigned patient care areas in accordance with establish hospital and departmental policies, procedures and all applicable regulations and standards. Work Environment:Activities are performed on a climactically controlled nursing unit subject to frequent long periods of standing and walking; frequent physical demands including, but not limited to: stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, climbing, lifting and pushing objects of varying weights up to and including 150 pounds. Activities performed require ability to regularly assist patients to and from various types of equipment. Regularly works in an environment subject to high stress levels, exposure to fumes, chemicals, noise and blood born pathogens; frequently changing priorities. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: 1. Current State of Arizona license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner; Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred.2. Must have at least 1 year previous experience in general pediatric and/or neonatal Respiratory care.3. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
