Currently seeking a Manager for Samaritan Medical Equipment, which is a regional service based at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital in Newport, Oregon.
Samaritan Health Services is a non-profit regional network of hospitals, physicians and a senior care facility serving more than 250,000 residents of the mid-Willamette Valley and the central Oregon Coast. Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital (SPCH) provides health care for residents and tourists throughout a 270-square-mile area in Lincoln County, including Newport, Waldport, Toledo, Depoe Bay and Yachats. Built in 1952, the hospital has expanded to meet the growing needs of the community. SPCH is a 25-bed critical access hospital, with 370 employees, 110 of whom are nurses, and 120 volunteers. Nestled between the Coast Range and the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean, Newport boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery on the central Oregon coast with vast stretches of rugged cliffs, lush vegetation and sandy beaches. The Manager of Samaritan Medical Equipment is a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner who manages the operations of the Samaritan Medical Equipment department and who is an active member of the hospital management team. This individual assumes 24-hour responsibility and accountability for the department, is responsible for providing direction to department personnel, and interfaces effectively with members of the medical staff to ensure optimal patient care and to evaluate this care on an ongoing basis. Current registration by National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC-RTT) required. Must have an Oregon Respiratory Care license, or be eligible to apply. Two (2) years experience in clinical role, and an additional two (2) years experience in a management role required. Healthcare provider level BLS required, or must be able to obtain.
